Friends of Acadia
Friends of Acadia preserves, protects, and promotes stewardship of the outstanding natural beauty, ecological vitality, and distinctive cultural resources of Acadia National Park and surrounding communities for the inspiration and enjoyment of current and future generations.
Z Studio was honored to take part in redesigning the Friends of Acadia Journal. Although there were minor updates, the design had not changed substantially in over 10 years. Rebranded as ACADIA, the magazine is now more visual, with a strong emphasis on color and imagery in addition to stories about people. The page count has been increased to accommodate a spine, allowing collectors to identify issues when shelved together. Combined with a slightly larger trim size, this allows the publication room to breathe; with more white space and larger type for improved legibility, and more room for full-bleed photos. Z Studio has also designed FOA’s event invitations and annual reports.
